MAG Aerospace is seeing Senior System Administrator/IT Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day operational IT support along with general IT support for Project Manager Cyber and Space (PM C&S). Candidate will serve as the System Administrator for a closed restricted network and support other DoD guest systems at various classification. Tasks include performing installation, troubleshooting and other administrative tasks associated with ongoing maintenance and enhancement of information systems and services.
This is an opportunity to be involved in the newly formed PM Cyber & Space and be a part of the rapidly growing Cyber and Space Program Office responsible for key capabilities within the offensive cyber operations world.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Performs systems planning, management, analysis, integration, installation and training tasks that include all aspects of preparing and implementing a highly complex and integrated array of hardware, software (applications and operating systems), networks and procedures.
- Perform updating, upgrading, security hardening and maintenance tasks on a variety of servers including physical, virtual and cloud based.
- Perform Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) configurations on Windows, Linux, and Network based technologies.
- Scripting Infrastructure as Code using technologies such as Ansible.
- Work independently to produce and maintain system of the following server applications, service types and technologies:o Microsoft Windows Server 2019-2022o Microsoft Windows 11o Microsoft Exchange 2019o Microsoft SharePoint 2019 on-premiseso Microsoft SharePoint Online within Microsoft 365o Microsoft Office 365o Microsoft Power BIo Microsoft Power Appso Microsoft SQLo VMware ESXIo VMware VSphereo Ansibleo Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)o Deploying Repos in an offline environmento Video Teleconference Systems (VTCs)o Cisco supported IOS command line interface (CLI)o Microsoft Group Policy Objects (GPOs)o Microsoft Office suiteo Manage email distribution lists and security groupso DoD CAC PKI token certificate conceptso Security hardening of Servers and client Operating Systemso Host Based Security System (HBSS) - Trellix EPO, Anti-virus and plugins
- o Deploying Windows imageso Network technologies including DHCP and VLANso STIG compliance of Server and client Operating Systemso NSA Type 1 encryption deviceso Metro Ethernet WAN technologies (MPLS)o ACAS (Tenable Security Center & Nessus)
- Perform troubleshooting of server, network, desktop and software configurations
- Performs Help Desk actions – support existing staff in troubleshooting systems access, unlocking accounts, group policy, installation of updates and software, maintenance of computers, viewing vendor’s sites for updates, market research for IA equipment and supplies.
- Remotely assist all off-site locations and users on software issues and updates; ensure adequate network connectivity, backups of network servers, setup and monitor all secure VTC sessions.
- Attend mandatory annual training directed by government client.

Knowledge and Skills
- Hands on experience with the installation, configuration, troubleshooting and operations of technologies such as cloud services, local virtualization, routers, switches, and video teleconference systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of system security certification and accreditation policies, directives, regulations, and instructions for Government AIS networks.
- Knowledge of customer service, the ability to listen carefully and the ability to troubleshoot issues and find an escalation path.
- Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
- Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
- Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
- Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
