Senior Radiological/Nuclear Program Support Lead – Clearance Required

Overview

LMI is seeking a candidate who can lead a small person team in support the DHS CWMD Securing the Cities (STC) program management office.  This position requires an Active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain DHS Suitability. While the position can be supported remotely due to the current hybrid work environment, the candidate must be able to work out of the Client site in Washington, DC, when required by the Client; the position has an Onsite requirement.   

 

With the threat of transnational terrorism and ongoing development of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) by nations potentially hostile to the U.S., DHS has taken steps to integrate the full range of its radiological, nuclear, chemical, and biological capabilities to enhance the nation’s abilities to prevent terrorists and other threat actors from using WMD, and support operational partners in closing capability gaps along adversary pathways.  As the focal point for this effort, DHS Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Operations Support Directorate (OSD) requires advisory and assistance services to effectively operationalize CWMD by developing and enhancing the capabilities of the DHS Components as well as federal, state, local, territorial and tribal (FSLTT) partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary team in completing mission objectives/ tasks in support of a radiological and nuclear detection capability development program, specifically Securing the Cities Program (STC) working with Federal, State and Locals.
• Support government Program Management office in its support to STC Regions in their development and sustainment of radiological and nuclear detection capabilities through cooperative agreements, and in managing STC Integrated Product Teams.
• Support development of presentations and documents that are appropriate for government senior executives.  
• Support in planning and coordinating program reviews for the STC Regions.
• Supervise tasks related to development of program budget, and execution of activities and deliverables by the STC Regions in accordance with their respective cooperative agreements.
• Be knowledgeable in Domestic Detection CONOPS, and personal radiation detectors and operations.
• Be knowledgeable in application and use of surveys on Geospatial Information Infrastructure.
• Be knowledgeable in Grant/ Cooperative Agreement programs.

Qualifications

• MS/MA degree.  
• Minimum of 10 years of experience working in radiological/nuclear detection and/or explosives technology.
• Experience in working with States and Locals, law enforcement agencies, and interagency partners preferred.
• Active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain DHS Suitability.
• Excellent communications skills, written and verbal.
• DoD or DHS acquisition/ program management support experience preferred
