About the role

Job Summary 

This position is responsible for loading all outbound shipments and unloading all inbound deliveries.

Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Operates a propane sit-down forklift.
  • Sort shipments for destination and group merchandise to be included with or fulfilled in an order.
  • Packaging and loading of finished materials for transport and unloading of raw materials.
  • Moving of product to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
  • Take product off the production line and store in designated location.
  • Transport raw materials to production workstations.
  • Inspect forklift to determine the need for repairs and to guarantee safety.
  • Verify piece counts on each pallet and compare to label.
  • Material handling of all products.
  • Follow manufacturing work orders.
  • Count nails, peel plastics off metals and re-adhere plastic to finished products.
  • Other small tasks to assist with the timely delivery of finished products.

Education and Experience:  

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year previous forklift experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Shipping and Receiving.

 

Equipment Used: 

  • Forklift, rulers, measuring tape, calipers, calculator, handheld tools, power tools

Working Conditions: 

  • Fast paced manufacturing environment, loading dock, and driveways. Will be working in all weather conditions.
  • Hours Worked: 40 hours per week, 2nd Shift, 1:50PM - 9:50PM
  • Days/Week: Monday – Friday

  • No travel is required for this position.
