What you’ll be responsible for: •Manage appointment scheduling for patients, ensuring an organized and efficient flow of patients through the facility.•Collect and update patient information, including demographics, medical history, medications, allergies, and insurance details.•Reviewing, working, and managing tasks received in the EHR. •Managing electronic health records (EHR) by accurately recording patient data, test results, and treatment plans.•Assisting with billing procedures, coding medical procedures accurately for insurance claims, and handling financial transactions.•Verifying patient insurance coverage and obtaining necessary authorizations for medical procedures.•Supporting inbound calls for our patients•Communicating with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals via phone and email.•Following up on imaging, lab, DME orders as well as referrals. •Gathering patient medical history and relevant information before appointments.•Checking patients in and preparing patients for their telehealth visit. ,•Educating patients on medications, and post-treatment care, along with preventive health measures and healthy lifestyle practices.
This may be a fit if you have:•Associates degree related to this field•Completion of a Medical Assistant Program  OR  1 year of Medical Assistant •Experience with EHR- Athena is a Plus!Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s final level and final location. Also, this range represents base salary only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits if applicable.
