Our International Tax team is looking for a Senior Associate with a background in Compliance. The International Tax Senior Associate will have the opportunity to work hybrid from our Atlanta, Charlotte, DC, or Chicago offices.

 

The International Tax Senior Associate will provide specialized services addressing a wide array of international tax concerns, including and international tax compliance and reporting projects; determine taxpayer eligibility for international tax elections and exceptions such as GILTI high tax exception; international tax quantitative modeling, and foreign tax credit analysis.  

 

As an ITAX Senior, you will:

• Solve interesting and complex international tax problems
• Lead client relationships on day-to-day tax matters supporting partners with service execution and development of extended services.
• Review the tax preparation work of our staff and offshore team.
• Provide innovative tax compliance expertise, including preparation of U.S. international tax forms, such as 5471, 8992, 8865, 8858, 1042, 8802, K-2 and K-3, and 8833.
• Calculate E&P, Section 987 foreign exchange gains (losses), GILTI, expense apportionment and allocation, ECI, Subpart F and Subpart F recapture, and Section 962.
• Effectively manage budgets.
• Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively both with the client and internally to provide superior client service.

 

What you bring to the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or other relevant field of study
• Licensed CPA or the eligibility to work towards obtaining a CPA license
• 2+ years of progressive International Tax compliance experience with a public accounting firm or large corporate tax department of a multinational company is preferred
• Strong tax technical skills and accounting skills. Strong analytical skills, verbal and written communication, people, project management and organizational skills.
• Exceptional research and technical writing skills
• Proficiency with ProSystem fx, CCH, RIA, and/or Engagement is a plus.
• Ability to participate in all aspects of engagement strategic planning initiatives and have strong project management and organizational skills
• Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
