Microchip Technology Inc. is a market leader in designing, manufacturing, and marketing Frequency Control, Sensor, and Hybrid Product solutions using the latest cutting-edge techniques. For over 70 years, the Mount Holly Springs facility has been providing solutions for Satellite Constellations, Deep Space Exploration Missions, Military Systems, GPS, Communication Networks, and much more. The supervisory responsibilities will primarily include the Discrete Oscillator and PCBA manufacturing floor.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Supervises production staff to produce manufactured products while organizing and monitoring workflows to meet production schedules and on-time delivery to external customers.
  • Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Responsible for employee safety, productivity, workmanship, attendance, payroll, and overall performance.
  • Work directly with Supervisors, Management, Process Engineering, Design Engineering, and Quality Engineering as needed.
  • Provide leadership to production staff by developing, training, coaching, inspiring, and empowering.
  • Functions as a role model for Microchip Guiding Values and Culture.
  • Supports, encourages and ensures Microchip Open Door Policy.
  • Supports Microchip’s practices, policies, and procedures, and ensures they are followed consistently.
  • Effectively drive continuous and quality-related improvements, cost reduction plans through process improvements, Lean manufacturing initiatives, and other actions designed to improve operation effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Responsible for promoting and facilitating cross-training efforts and succession planning of employees.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership in manufacturing setting, 2-4 years of supervisory experience or Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering preferred.
  • Must demonstrate a working knowledge in manufacturing operations.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, six sigma, high volume, high mix/customized products and/or mass customization of product is desirable.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team member in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Solid problem solving skills, strong organization, documentation & writing skills
  • Creative thinking, problem-solving, & decision-making skills.
  • Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets, internet access & E-mail.
  • Knowledge of professional ethics, including confidentiality policy.
  • Knowledgeable in team building, with ability to resolve conflicts, meet deadlines
