Private Brand Business Manager

Join Casey’s in shaping a better future for our communities, guests, and team members as a Private Brand Business Manager! In this role, you will partner closely with Category Managers to drive innovation across new categories, items, and product lines. The Private Brand Business Manager leads business reviews and implements joint business plans with suppliers within the assigned portfolio. Additionally, you will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with private brand suppliers to grow Casey’s brand sales and market share, as well as stay attuned to market trends and competitive activity to continuously identify opportunities to enhance and expand the private brand offering.

What You'll Do:

• Lead Product Innovation initiatives within assigned categories and supplier partnerships.
• Execute strategic initiatives aligned within the Private Brand category and account objectives.
• Drive projects from concept to completion, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet key milestones and timelines.
• Leverage a deep understanding of Casey’s strategies and priorities and be able to leverage and communicate the knowledge. Builds and maintains business relationships with supplier partners and retailer.
• Manage the end-to-end private label product development process – from ideation to shelf- category manager and suppliers from ideation to shelf, which includes but not limited to; leading cost of goods negotiation with suppliers, contractual agreement discussions and completion, working with internal/external demand planning team on forecasting of product, and leading the branding and packaging of the product with Casey’s Marketing team.
• Identify and develop new categories, items, and product lines, including sourcing new suppliers for Casey’s Brand. This includes developing a Current Situation Analysis of potential products and leading/coordinating monthly meetings to review/taste and mutually decide on appropriate profile in the end product.
• Lead the development and execution of marketing plans, promotional strategies, advertising, in-store displays, merchandising tactics, and inventory forecasting for assigned categories.
• Responsible for hiring, training, salary administration, performance management, coaching and corrective actions for direct reports. Responsible for collaborating with team members on career development and goal setting. Acts as a champion of a committed and empowering culture, working with direct reports and team members on modeling Casey’s values.
• Conduct regular business reviews and implement joint business plans with suppliers do drive performance.
• Participate in category reviews and align with evolving category strategies.
• Stay informed on market trends and competitive activity to continually enhance private brands.

Compensation: 

Starting pay range:‏‏‎ ‎$97,000‏‏‎ ‎-‏‏‎ ‎$135,000.‏‏‎ ‎ Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications.
