Your Role at Sephora…
The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist plays a critical role in supporting EHS initiatives across Sephora’s Distribution Center network. This role drives safety culture through regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, employee training, and data-driven improvements, partnering with operations, HR, and leadership to uphold Sephora’s commitment to employee well-being.
Essential Functions of Job:
Regulatory Compliance, Culture & Continuous Improvement:
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards (e.g., proper PPE usage, equipment guarding). Report any violations to EHS and Operations leadership, and actively partner with Operations to address and correct instances of non-compliance.
- Implement EHS policies, procedures, and training programs tailored to distribution center operations
- Research and integrate industry-leading safety practices and innovations
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training attendance, and incident reports in designated systems (e.g., iWarehouse)
Safety Data & Reporting:
- Utilize PowerBI, Excel, and iWarehouse to maintain real-time safety dashboards tracking KPIs (e.g., incident rates, near-misses, training completion)
- Identify patterns in safety data to predict risks, prioritize interventions, and measure the impact of safety initiatives. Present findings to site and network leadership in clear, actionable reports
- Assist with preparing documentation for regulatory audits or corporate EHS reviews.
Training & Emergency Preparedness:
- Deliver comprehensive safety training, including onboarding and refreshers
- Lead safety huddles, toolbox talks, and employee engagement initiatives
- Ensure First Aid/CPR certification and emergency preparedness compliance
Maintain emergency response equipment and evacuation documentation
Risk Identification, Audits:
- Conduct job hazard analysis (JHAs) and regular safety inspections
- Lead or support incident investigations and implement SMART corrective actions
- Address ergonomic risks through assessments and process improvements
Case Management & Collaboration:
- Support Workers’ Compensation case management and return-to-work programs
- Partner with HR, operations, and maintenance to integrate EHS practices
- Participate in safety committees and cross-functional improvement projects
Contribute to sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives
