JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Berks seeks an Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Sports Information. The Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Sports Information oversees compliance operations and sports information functions within the athletics department. This role involves ensuring adherence to NCAA regulations regarding student-athlete eligibility and managing the dissemination of sports-related information to internal and external stakeholders.
The Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Sports Information will:
Maintain statistics and create game files for all athletic events.
Develop event programs, write press releases, and manage the athletics website and social media accounts.
Oversee the livestreaming platform and promote media coverage.
Coordinate awards nominations and travel to championship events.
Certify student-athlete eligibility.
Monitor practice and playing seasons.
Oversee recruiting activities and conduct rules education.
Administer NCAA Division III Rules Test and maintain team rosters.
Schedule events for various sports in coordination with coaches, considering academic and fiscal concerns.
Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Assist with NCAA reports, represent athletics on committees, supervise part-time and student employees, and assist with gameday operations.
Support SAAC representatives with meeting organization, agenda creation, and activity planning.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required;
3+ years of relevant experience Equivalency, Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Master’s degree preferred.
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
