The role focuses on supporting mission‑critical trading environments, including the investigation and resolution of operating system, platform, and hardware issues that impact client trading services.</p> <p> </p> <p>This is a customer‑facing role with direct responsibility for delivering high‑quality operational support to Pico’s trading clients. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, internal teams, vendors, and exchanges to ensure trading systems remain reliable, secure, and performant, meeting agreed service levels and operational expectations.</p> <p> </p> <p>The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation in Red Hat Enterprise Linux and experience supporting platforms running on virtualisation technologies such as KVM, VMware ESXi, and Hyper‑V. Hands‑on experience with HPE and Dell server hardware, along with automation and scripting using Bash and Ansible, is essential. Familiarity with ITIL (or equivalent) operational frameworks, including incident, problem, and change management, is required to support controlled, auditable operations in a financial services environment.
