Sr. Software Engineering Manager

Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking highly motivated and experienced Sr. Software Engineering Manager to join our team to support our government clients. The successful applicant will manage a team of engineers responsible for the design, implementation, and delivery of large scale, secure, and high quality multi-platform Digital Twin, interactive 3D training, and real world simulation applications.

Job Responsibilities

 

As a Sr. Software Engineering Manager, you will:

• Managing a remote development team of developers creating outstanding applications and games.
• Lead software development activities from design concept through implementation.
• Participating in code reviews to ensure only high quality software is committed.
• Champaign agile software development methodologies and devops practices
• Communicating technical solutions, risks, and capabilities to customers and key stakeholders
• Personnel and Project management

 

Required Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance.
• Consistent track record of delivering software and establishing highly functional teams
• 20+ years of engineering experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Hands on programming experience with C, C#, JavaScript, and Unity
• 5+ years of experience in engineering management or leadership roles
• Experience coaching and mentoring remote development teams including performance management, performance reviews, and individual development plans.
• Good communicator with the ability to work as part of a team of diverse skills and interact directly with clients.
• Strong understanding of all aspects of the software development lifecycle.

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with game development, mobile apps, and web based applications or games
• Experience with project and issue management using Jira
