About the role
ODW Logistics is a people-focused and customer-driven third-party logistics (3PL) provider committed to delivering seamless end-to-end supply chain solutions. Our extensive range of services include supply chain design and innovation, warehousing, efficient distribution and fulfillment, freight brokerage, transportation management, and specialized e-commerce fulfillment solutions.
The 1st shift Facilities Maintenance Technician works in cooperation with DC General Manager and the Maintenance Supervisor to perform the maintenance of equipment and facilities of an automated distribution center.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery, equipment, and building systems
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues
- Assist with installation, setup, and modification of manufacturing equipment
- Conduct inspections to identify potential equipment or facility issues before they become major problems
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation
- Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed in compliance with safety policies and regulations
- Collaborate with production staff to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency
- Support facility upkeep, including lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and general building repairs
- Respond promptly to emergency repair needs
- 2-4 years industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Candidates should be technically proficient, as well as comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Preferred knowledge of CNC, conveyance, powder coating, welding, and/or laser systems
- Must be familiar with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, AC motors and variable frequency drives
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
Language Requirements
- Ability to hear, read and comprehend, write, and communicate.
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Regularly required to bend, kneel, stoop, crawl, climb ladders both caged and un-caged as well as stairs and other equipment.
- Continually required to stand and walk.
- Manually lift certain items (routinely requires the ability to lift 50 pounds but may require the ability to lift up to 100 pounds).
- Ability to work at heights up to 30’.
