TxDOT's Materials and Tests Division (MTD) is looking for a Construction Inspector II, III, or IV in the Structural Materials (STR) Section. The position is in the San Angelo, TX area and inspection work is performed at multiple fabrication plants. STR provides support to bridge and highway construction projects statewide by performing in-plant Quality Assurance (QA) structural product inspection, material and product testing, and manufacturing process oversight. STR also provides oversight to the State’s Quality Monitoring (QM) program for the following: structural steel bridge girders, bridge bearings, and steel non-bridge structures (overhead sign supports, illumination/traffic signal poles, traffic railing, etc.).
