Position Overview

The Senior Director, Talent Acquisition Strategy & Process Innovation will lead the global function responsible for shaping the future of talent acquisition across the enterprise. This role is a key architect of transformation, charged with designing and operationalizing scalable, tech-enabled, and human-centered strategies that elevate the candidate experience and deliver measurable business impact. 
 
This is a high-visibility leadership role that partners closely with senior stakeholders across HR, Technology, and the business to drive enterprise-wide change and innovation. 

Key Responsibilities 

Enterprise TA Strategy & Innovation Leadership 

Partner with VP, TA Experience, to lead the development and execution of global talent acquisition strategies aligned with workforce planning, business priorities, and future-of-work trends. 

Serve as a strategic advisor to senior HR and business leaders on emerging TA practices, market dynamics, and innovation opportunities. 

Drive enterprise-wide process and experience innovation, enabling global centers of excellence and scalable delivery models. 

Process Architecture & Operational Excellence 

Manage the design and optimization of end-to-end TA processes, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and alignment with global standards. 

Establish governance frameworks and change management strategies to support adoption of new processes and tools across regions. 

Champion simplification, automation, and continuous improvement across all TA workflows. 

Technology Strategy & Ecosystem Leadership 

In partnership with VP TA Experience and the HR Technology team, develop the strategic roadmap for Marriott’s global TA technology ecosystem, including ATS, CRM, AI-enabled tools, and emerging platforms. 

Partner with HRIS, IT, and external vendors to evaluate, select, and implement technologies that enhance recruiter, hiring manager, and candidate experiences. 

Ensure technology decisions are informed by data, user feedback, and business outcomes. 

Experience Design & Measurement 

Lead experience design initiatives using journey mapping, user research, and data analytics to uncover friction points and opportunities. 

Define and monitor KPIs to measure impact, drive accountability, and inform continuous improvement. 

Embed human-centered design principles into all TA transformation efforts. 

Cross-Functional Leadership & Global Governance 

Lead cross-functional and cross-regional working groups to align strategy, prioritize initiatives, and ensure integrated delivery. 

Drive global TA transformation initiatives including stakeholder engagement, communications, and change management. 

Maintain and evolve the global TA innovation roadmap in partnership with TA leadership and regional leads. 

What This Role Is Not 

Not a Recruiting Operations Role: Does not manage day-to-day hiring or candidate pipelines. 

Not a System Administrator Role: Technical configuration and support are managed by HRIS and IT. 

Not a Regional Execution Role: Provides strategic direction; execution is led by regional TA teams. 

Not Limited to One Tool or Platform: Oversees the full TA tech stack and experience journey. 

Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Organizational Design, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. 

10+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, HR strategy, or business transformation, with global scope. 

Proven success leading large-scale transformation initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations. 

Deep understanding of the talent acquisition lifecycle, systems (ATS/CRM/AI tools), and digital hiring trends. 

Experience in management consulting or enterprise strategy roles highly preferred. 

Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 

Strong executive presence and stakeholder management capabilities. 

Passion for innovation, collaboration, and driving meaningful change.
