Accounting Intern - $20.00 Hourly

Schedule: Full-Time | Summer only, ends August 15th

Job Overview:

We seek a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our Accounting Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a college student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field who wants real-world experience in a hands-on environment. The intern will support the team with daily financial tasks, data entry, account reconciliations, and other administrative duties, gaining exposure to core accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with data entry of invoices, expenses, and financial transactions into the accounting system
   
• Support accounts payable and receivable processing and documentation
   
• Help with bank and account reconciliations on a monthly basis
   
• Organize and maintain financial records and digital files
   
• Assist in preparing financial reports and spreadsheets
   
• Perform basic research or analysis under supervision for audits or budgeting projects
   
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
   
• Collaborate with accounting staff on special projects or ad hoc tasks
   
• Handle confidential information in a professional manner
   

Qualifications:

• Actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
   
• Basic understanding of accounting principles (knowledge of GAAP is a plus)
   
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable learning new software
   
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
   
• Good organizational and time management skills
   
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
   
• Professional demeanor and willingness to learn
