Requirements
Weber Specialties is looking for an experienced HR professional to manage day to day operations of the department. Successful candidate must be driven, self-motivated, resourceful and have a passion for supporting people. Must have the ability to lead by example displaying the abilities to Think Big! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs all Human Resource functions by implementing the following duties personally or through direct reports.
- Plans, organizes, and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
- Implements and annually updates compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys and develops merit pool (salary budget); analyzes compensation; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
- Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; performs benefits administration to include change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness.
- Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; develops and monitors career-pathing program, writes and places advertisements.
- Employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
- Establishes and maintains department records, HRIS and reports. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars.
- Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Manages all aspects of employee training for development and safety.
- Knowledge of labor laws and ability to maintain compliance.
- Reviews, and approves employee timecards for payroll. Assigns and tracks attendance points.
- Administrator for all benefits platforms such as health, 401k.
- Experience working with Paylocity is beneficial.
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Will be responsible for the Human Resources Department and will directly supervise employees working within this department.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or Business and 3 years human resource experience, or 7 years’ experience in the Human Resource field.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office Word Processing software. Working knowledge of HR
