Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant II - Hybrid Care Unit

The Hybrid Care Unit (HCU) is designed to intentionally flex to support both physical and virtual care models to achieve optimal patient flow. Focused efforts in this space will be designed to promote and test innovative ideas, new models of care, and technological devices/medical products to improve the patient care experience and hospital capacity management.
This role is focused on capacity management and correct utilization of resources based on a patient’s acuity level. Each Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provider will be trained on HCU core functions. The APP team will be comprised of staff comfortable with ambiguity and change, as they will be expected to flex to the needs of pilot programs launched in the HCU, while actively managing patients and movement through the HCU.
Candidates should be proactive and innovative thinkers with the ability to secure stakeholder support and endorsement of Division/Department leadership, possess effective communication skills, and be able to drive successful implementation of pilot testing in this space.

New Grads will not be considered at this time. 2+ years of hospital APP experience
Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current FL RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP, ANP, ACNP.
Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the FL State Board of Medical Practice.
Additional Qualifications:
BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross and DEA registration required.
