Anticipated Head Baseball Coach

The North Plainfield School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered, and experienced leader to serve as the Head Baseball Coach at North Plainfield High School.

North Plainfield is a diverse and vibrant community committed to developing the whole child through academics, athletics, and extracurricular opportunities. Our athletic programs emphasize excellence, sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and character development. We are seeking a coach who is passionate about building a comprehensive baseball program that supports student-athletes both on and off the field.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

• Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate or New Jersey Substitute Certificate.
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification (or obtain prior to the season).
• Previous baseball coaching and/or playing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of baseball fundamentals, skill development, and NJSIAA/NFHS rules.
• Ability to plan and conduct practices and supervise student-athletes in a safe, positive environment.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with players, parents, administrators, and staff.
• Promote academic achievement, sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and positive character.
• Successful completion of all district employment requirements and required NJSIAA coaching certifications.
