Junior Software Developer - Telework Opportunity

Freedom Consulting Group is seeking a Junior Developer for one of our PRIME CONTRACTS that extends through 2026 and offers exciting opportunities to support essential services and mission critical activities across the enterprise. This opportunity includes TELEWORK up to two days a week! Our mission supports the Government Corporate Management Services (CMS) by providing full life cycle support services through the sustainment, modernization, and transformation of the enterprise corporate applications. These applications are used across the government enterprise and are critical to the daily functions of thousands of users across acquisition, business, finance, HR, training, recruitment, program management, security, logistics and more. Join an existing team providing development support to a Corporate Management Information System that provides a solution for integrating budgeting information across the enterprise  . Primary responsibility will be providing application development and production support . Develop and implement innovative approaches to improve system sustainment to proactively identify and correct potential issues before outages occur. The position will require working in a fast-paced team in an agile environment and a willingness to take on challenges. The tech stack includes Python, Django, AWS, Java, JavaScript and ReactJS

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph 
• A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and three (3) years of experience in software development/engineering. Seven (7) years of experience in software development/engineering may be substituted in lieu of a degree 
• Python development experience 
• Experience working with front-end technologies including JavaScript 
• Willingness to learn new technologies  
• Experience developing and updating technical documentation    

Desired Qualifications

• Experience working in an Agile Development environment 
• Experience managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) to include requirements definition, design, development, test, deployment, and sustainment 
• Experience with any of the following technologies Java, Django, ReactJS 
• Experience managing systems in a virtual hosting environment including AWS 
• Experience with PostgreSQL 
• Experience working with Docker for containerization 
• Familiarity with the CI/CD
