ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Staff Accountant will play a vital role in the collaborative execution of the company's accounting operations. This individual will actively contribute to the Month end-of-period closes, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations. Maintains and controls the General Ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization, applying the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) that includes analytical work and thorough review and accuracy of financial records.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing journal entries and accruals, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, including prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, and other accounts as needed.
  • Assist with external audit preparation, as needed.
  • Maintains financial records by accurate and timely filing of accounting documents.
  • Provide support to the AP department regarding accounting procedures.
  • Participate and assist with special projects that support the goal of continuous improvement in processes and growth within the company
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
