Our team is growing:
Working from the Columbus, Ohio office of Fifth Third's small-business division and reporting directly to the Bank's head of small business, you'll perform a wide range of administrative duties of a responsible and complex nature. You'll administer programs, projects, and/or processes specific to the small-business organization. You may also serve as a liaison with others within and outside the company regarding administrative issues related to purchasing, personnel, facilities, and operations.
You'll be responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. You'll be accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensuring that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, you'll achieve results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
A day in the life:
- Provide administrative support to the head of small business and small-business division by remaining aware of departmental goals, providing ongoing communication, and organizing priorities to meet deadlines
- Coordinate schedules, make appointments, and arrange and coordinate travel
- Answer and screen calls and arrange conference calls
- Answer routine question inquires and determine which items are to be handled by direct or indirect reports of the head of small business
- Coordinate and arrange meetings; prepare agendas; reserve and prepare facilities; and record and transcribe minutes of meetings
- Prepare a variety of special and recurring reports containing confidential information following the head of small business's general directions
- Create written correspondence and reports from rough drafts, making changes in grammar, punctuation, or spelling as needed
- Organize and maintain confidential file system, and file correspondence and other records
- Order office supplies and arrange for equipment maintenance
- Design and implement systems that create a professional, organized, well-run office environment, with high attention to detail
- Serve as a liaison to others outside the small-business department related to administrative requests
- Other administrative duties as assigned
Our newest teammate will have:
- The ability to properly read and write well enough to type, edit, and proof general business correspondence and prepare reports as normally acquired through completion of a high school education
- An in depth understanding of company policies, procedures, and operations to assume a variety of administrative details usually acquired in four years of administrative assistant and/or office management experience
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, including preparing and/or polishing draft materials intended for an executive audience
- The ability to maintain confidentiality
- Flexibility, adaptability, and comfort handling quickly changing priorities
- Professionalism in interactions with executive-level stakeholders
- Basic problem-solving skills to handle routine issues
