Description of Work

This Administrative Associate II is located in Arbor Cottage of Murdoch Developmental Center. The Administrative Associate II will type the majority of documents including letters, memorandums, reports, and any other necessary correspondence in the division. This position is responsible for greeting and assisting visitors; answering incoming calls on a multi-line telephone system; compiling monthly staff schedules; balancing and reconciling figures; maintaining and updating individuals' financial accounts; preparing and handling work orders.

North Carolina Intervention (NCI), as well as CPR and First Aid certification are required for this position.

ALL employees of Murdoch Center are designated as ESSENTIAL for adverse weather and emergency events.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Recruitment Range: $31,200.00 - $49,340.00

Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:

• Work experience in the healthcare field

• Demonstrated work experience with electronic files and hard copies and purchasing supplies

• Independently plan, prioritize and organize time to accomplish work objectives

• Must have a Valid Drivers License

The applicant will be required to successfully complete the Murdoch Developmental Center “Basic Training Series”; which includes, but is not limited to program library training, First Aid, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Techniques (NVCI), CPR, Body Mechanics and lifting.  Applicants must have the ability to pass a physical requirements test.

Work Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm
