Perficient currently has a career opportunity for a Director of Total Rewards, based in our St Louis global headquarters office.  This position reports directly to the Vice President of People and will play a critical role on the HR Leadership Team.

 

As Director of Total Rewards, you will be a part of Perficient's People Team organization focusing on enabling our people to do their best work so Perficient can thrive.  You will be responsible for the strategy and execution of broad-based compensation philosophy and practices, benefits, wellbeing, and other total rewards initiatives.  You will be a strategic partner to the operational leadership team to develop innovative and equitable programs aimed at attracting and retaining world-class talent, while driving business results. You will be the total rewards expert of competitive best practices with a global perspective and a local understanding that builds scale in size, geography, and organizational complexity as the company continues to grow.

This role is ideal for those with proven experience implementing and leading compensation and benefits strategy and execution. We're looking for someone with the depth to be the thought leader in establishing our Total Rewards strategy, yet also comfortable in the weeds and helping the team approach work through the eyes of our people to design flexible and scalable solutions as we continue to grow globally.

 

Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in the areas of compensation, total rewards and benefits design and administration.  The ideal candidate will have evolved both within the technology industry, as well as within other industries, gaining a more holistic view of the total rewards levers that are successful in different environments. S/he will be adept at strategizing around the compensation nuances necessary to retain, incentivize, and reward a growing, globally distributed workforce within a competitive landscape. This leader will also be adept at navigating HR business process improvement, implementing technology solutions, and leveraging data and analytics to better inform decisions. The ability to build collaborative relationships and be a high-level strategic thinker capable of influencing positive change is key.  This critical position will be held by a leader who is hands-on, self-motivated, and goal oriented.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted partner owning the total rewards philosophy and approach to define, develop, communicate, and execute all compensation and benefits programs to attract, retain, and reward top talent.
  • Develop and implement enterprise-wide compensation programs, practices, processes, and systems; including company-wide philosophy and guiding principles for pay delivery, pay equity, job evaluation, job architecture and market intelligence.
  • Benchmark activities across all areas of total rewards to elevate the understanding of our global competitiveness and align with the evolution of the organization.
  • Work in close collaboration with the HR Leadership team to ensure the total rewards programs, systems and philosophies are aligned with the total People strategy for Perficient. As a senior leader on this team act as a partner and support to the HR business partners and other key specialist leaders.
  • Manage job leveling, salary surveys, and market analysis to make comprehensive recommendations. Understand current and emerging market trends to identify potential opportunities and gaps.
  • Guide leaders on pay decisions, policy interpretations, job evaluations, including the design of creative solutions related to compensation related programs.
  • Provide strategic direction, planning, and execution of Perficient's benefits programs globally including health and welfare, 401K/retirement, time-off and flexibility, disability plans, and other various perks.
  • Manage the benefits vendor selection process, oversee plans and implementations, establish and track expected deliverables.
  • Manage the effective communication of compensation, benefits, and wellbeing programs to achieve employee awareness, understanding, and appreciation of program offerings, partnering with relevant internal stakeholders.
