The IAM Experiences team, part of Microsoft’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) organization, builds the platform that powers Microsoft Entra’s end-user experiences—including My Account, Devices, Groups, Sign-ins, Access, Staff and Apps. Our mission is to deliver seamless, secure, consistent and intelligent identity experiences across web and mobile platforms for every Entra user. We own and operate both horizontal capabilities and vertical experiences that serve as the primary touchpoints for identity management, authentication insights, and access governance. Our team leads frontend engineering for end-user identity scenarios, driving innovation in usability, accessibility, and performance. As part of Microsoft’s AI-first transformation, we are integrating Copilot capabilities into end-user workflows—enabling personalized guidance, proactive security insights, and streamlined access requests through conversational interfaces. Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with a strong technical background, experience and passion for designing, developing, and deploying high-scale, high-throughput, and highly performant multi-tenant services. The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead efforts and discussions for the architecture of aspects of products/solutions. Independently creates and mentors others for a clear and articulated plan for testing and assuring the quality of solutions, and defines success for outcomes of tests. Leads identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform. Collaborate effectively with various partner teams, including UX designers, product owners, data scientists, and other engineering teams. They should be adept at understanding requirements, identifying and addressing ambiguities, and translating them into well-implemented, high-quality code that ensures customer success at cloud scale. Responsibilities include:
- Deliver world-class user experiences and planet-scale cloud services to customers in collaboration with architects, UX designers, and product managers.
- Design, code, test, and operate applications that are performant, reliable, secure, responsive, and accessible UI effectively abstracts customer workflow concepts
- Make engineering investments, adopt AI-first experience and build reusable components to ship faster with higher quality and consistency
- Collaborate with partner teams to deliver new value in our product and across Microsoft’s products
- Technical leader across release cycles, various layers of the service stack and in wide cross-org collaboration
- Mentor junior developers, act as technical leader across the org in various initiatives
