As the Chief Medical Officer, you will be responsible for leading our medical efforts, overseeing clinical research and development projects, and ensuring our products and services are medically sound, innovative, and meet customer needs.The Chief Medical Officer reports to the President/CEO.Chief Medical Officer Responsibilities:Develop and implement medical strategies to advance HyperSpectral’s goals and objectives, while keeping up with the latest technological and medical advancements.Manage and lead clinical research and development projects, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality results.Oversee the quality of clinical data generated by the organization, ensuring accuracy and reliability.Build and maintain relationships with academic and industry partners to stay current on the latest medical advancements and foster collaborations.Collaborate with other departments to ensure HyperSpectral’s products and services are medically sound, innovative, and meet customer needs.Develop and manage the HyperSpectral’s budget for clinical research and development, while also seeking external funding opportunities.Represent HyperSpectral at conferences, industry events, and other relevant forums.Provide medical expertise to the other members of HyperSpectral’s senior leadership team to inform business decisions and ensure medical integrity.Chief Medical Officer Requirements:Detail-oriented forward thinker to help make HyperSpectral’s vision into realityMD degree with board certification in a specialty field is preferred. PhD in a related field may also be considered.At least 10 years of experience in clinical research and development, with a track record of success in managing medical projects and teams.Entrepreneurial mindset and experience, comfortable working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing startup environment.Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex medical concepts to non-medical audiences.Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g. FDA) is preferred.Familiarity with the medtech, food/agriculture and environmental technology industries and understanding of big data, data analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning is a plusKnowledge of optical imaging technologies would be an assetStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.A passion for medical research and a desire to innovate and disrupt the industry.Previous research focusing on diagnostics is preferred.Must be authorized to work in the United States.Salary : HyperSpectral offers competitive compensation packages, equity ownership, and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and unlimited time-off.Location:  HyperSpectral staff is remote.  However, the company's key personnel are located in the Washington, DC; Cambridge, MA, Austin, TX and Los Angeles, CA areas.Contact:   LeverHyperSpectral is an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
