Consumer Directed Services (CDS) Tax Manager

The CDS (Consumer Directed Services) Tax Manager is responsible for managing all tax-related functions for consumers in the

CDS program, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and unemployment tax requirements. This role includes obtaining

necessary identification numbers for new and transferring consumers, filing quarterly and annual taxes for CDS clients, and

resolving any tax issues that arise by collaborating with the IRS. The Tax Manager will also update client tax forms, file year-end

CDS W-2s with the SSA, and maintain accurate Consumer Information Charts. Additionally, the CDS Tax Manager works closely

with the CYMA Consultant on updates and changes and processes garnishment payments.

Consumer Directed Services is a Missouri Medicaid healthcare service provided by the state for home bond patients.

Requirements

•        Obtain federal, state, and unemployment identification numbers for new and transferring consumers to the Consumer Directed Services programs.

•        File quarterly and annual state and federal taxes for CDS clients.

•        Work closely with the IRS to address any CDS tax issues that arise.

•        Update clients' CDS tax forms as needed.

•        File year-end CDS W-2s with the Social Security Administration (SSA).

•        Maintain accurate Consumer Information Charts.

•        Collaborate with the CYMA Consultant on system changes and updates.

•        Process garnishment payments for both AIH and CDS.

•        Ensure compliance with federal, state, and unemployment tax regulations for CDS clients.

•        Monitor and resolve discrepancies or issues related to CDS tax filings.

•        Perform additional responsibilities as delegated by management.
