Position Overview

Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you will be a critical Worldwide Sales Leadership Team member where your creativity and ideas will make a difference. Agile and able to respond to the business and market needs, you will own the creation and execution of the emerging business strategy, always with an eye on short- and longer-term impacts.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute the emerging business strategy to maximize revenue for short- and longer-term goals

  • Act as Autodesk’s global figurehead and leader of our emerging business eco-system

  • Own internal and customer communications and be an experienced storyteller and influencer

  • Role model Autodesk Culture Code. You will be a culture champion and hold others to the same high ethical behaviour and compliance standards

  • Skillfully utilize broad networks to promote Autodesk

  • Keep abreast of business trends and the global competitive landscape and skillfully navigate through times of change and ambiguity

  • Hire, grow, retain and inspire a global sales organization

  • Track, identify, develop and pursue opportunities for new and existing clients

  • Lead and support negotiations with clients, partners, and consultants

  • Think in terms of systems and seek improvement opportunities to ensure impactful systems are in place to track progress and scalability while managing the performance of the business and operational rhythm

  • Lead capture activities and serve as a senior advisor on pricing

  • Own the emerging business budget and effectively manage short and long-term tradeoffs

  • Use data and analytics to drive operational rigour

Global Leadership

Our company and customers span the globe, with major hubs in multiple global cities, this individual must be able to lead effectively in a worldwide capacity, recognizing and respecting various cultural norms and implementing approaches and initiatives that are effective anywhere in the world. In a role of this importance and influence, it is expected that this person be inherently geared toward being a natural leader who can work with multiple types of people at any level and innovate and solve problems. This leader will need not just to lead their team but also work in conjunction with GM Strategy owners and the broader company Go-to-Market teams, balancing and creating understanding when acquisition companies may deploy different processes and approaches than the wider company.

Optimize Infrastructure and Processes

This leader will have a passion for looking for opportunities to scale, particularly with systems, processes, and tools. You will be looking for process improvement opportunities to facilitate faster, higher-quality experiences to enable future scale and growth. The ability to use data and analytics to help elevate the function and set the stage for future scalable systemic processes is important.

Operational Execution

It is imperative to be able to look across the portfolio and look for ways to standardize and take out duplication of effort. We will look to optimize our sales approach etc for all products/businesses to create clearer touchpoints, better execution, and faster growth.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15+ years of broad business leadership experience, including 10+ years in sales, and 8+ years in the software industry, with SaaS experience

  • 5+ years minimum of experience partnering and influencing at the CEO Staff level

  • Strong cross-functional leader who can effectively partner across all functions and levels

  • Proven ability to design and execute high performing teams
