Role Description

We are looking for an experienced people operations leader to take charge of our People Team and support Very Good Ventures through growth and expansion into global markets. The right candidate will have led teams, ideally at tech startups experiencing rapid growth, and will have built out the systems, policies, and procedures necessary to run a business and maintain compliance. This is an amazing greenfield opportunity to build systems right from the ground up and have a significant impact on the business and our teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, build, and manage the People Operations team.
• Build and maintain the People Operations systems, policies, and procedures necessary for running a growth tech startup.
• Keep all aspects of VGV in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as international regulations such as Europe and South America.
• Define strategy, then build and implement programs to support and enhance the employee experience at VGV.
• Create a culture of trust, engagement, and joy

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in People Operations or relevant field
• 7+ years of leadership experience and 3+ years of experience in a single leadership role
• In depth knowledge of compliance necessary in running a growth, remote, and global startup.
• Experience building People Ops systems, process, and policy, ideally 0-1.
• Can communicate in a way that encourages trust and provides transparency to teams across the business.
• Experience supporting more than one entity.
