The Services Team within Oracle's Global Indirect Procurement department is primarily responsible for the acquisition of services on a global basis in support of Oracle's business units. We ensure there is alignment with global objectives and programs which leverage Oracle's overall spend and strategic supplier relationships.
We are seeking a Lead Category Manager to assist with the Services Procurement Team’s strategic efforts and initiatives globally. Project management skills, contract review experience and knowledge of managing commodity areas in Procurement, are required.
Seeking a candidate that contributes as a individual and as a cohesive team member, providing support and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders across the globe. Work is non-routine and complex, involving the application of advanced business skills in the Services Procurement area. Extensive commodity knowledge, excellent written and oral communication, customer service, computer and negotiation skills, and ability to multitask. 6-10+ years of experience and BS/BA degree.
Responsibilities:
The Services Team is seeking a Lead Category Manager to support commodities related to Advertising, Market Research, Market Survey, Public Relations, Life Sciences, and other service and other service commodities. This is a global role requiring knowledge and support of projects worldwide with a fixed emphasis on the North America, EMEA, JAPAC and LAD regions. Team member will also complete merger and acquisition related activities related to their service commodity areas. The individual must be self-driven and motivated to successfully manage multiple priorities and excel in the high-paced Oracle culture.
Responsibilities will include extensive, high value contract negotiations, supplier management functions, regional and global sourcing initiatives, enforcing policies and procedures, and effecting change management across Oracle. The individual must possess knowledge of service commodities, the ability to review and interpret legal documents, effective negotiation skills and project management experience. Individual must also have technical skills, preferably well-versed in Excel and PowerPoint. Job requires strong critical thinking skills, and highly-cultivated interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with regional teams, cross functional groups, lines of business and suppliers. Individual will coordinate closely with counterparts in other regions (NA, JAPAC & EMEA) relative to global strategy and initiatives. Job functions will include analyzing global spend trends, recommending cost saving opportunities, supporting stakeholders and identifying, proposing and initiating implementation of process efficiencies/improvements.

- 8+ years of relevant experience with global services procurement.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $87,000 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
