Overview
We are seeking a Senior Contracts Paralegal to support our in-house legal and operations teams, with a primary focus on contracts management and legal research. Based in Atlanta and reporting to the General Counsel, this role will also collaborate closely with our Global COO/CFO based in New York.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, creative environment. You will play a key role in drafting and reviewing contracts, supporting legal operations, and ensuring efficient communication between cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and organize a variety of routine legal documents and contracts
- Create and maintain organized legal files and contract records
- Facilitate the meeting of attorney's deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders
- Conduct legal research
- Must have basic legal knowledge including knowledge of standard legal terms and must have sufficient experience with legal research and automated contracts support experience preferably with DocuSign or similar platform.
- Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, thorough knowledge and firsthand familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems) and spreadsheets
- Compiles, prepares, summarizes, and assists with relevant materials
- Aids operations team in managing contracts process from beginning to end
- Provides assistance and guidance to colleagues to work collectively as a team
- Reviews documents from beginning to end and shares proposed edits with operations team
- Develops and enters various case material into a computer database
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certification or legal studies coursework preferred
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in a paralegal or contracts-focused role, preferably in an in-house legal department or corporate environment
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, contracts, and legal procedures
- Demonstrated experience managing contract workflows and document tracking systems
- Proficiency with legal tools and platforms such as DocuSign, Dropbox Sign, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience with contract management systems or databases a plus
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills with keen attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact confidently with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
- Comfortable handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid, fast-paced environment
