About the role :
The Senior Business Analyst works within the Global Clinical Organization (GCO) and performs business process reviews at a department, functional, or company level.
This position will partner with study managers, study designers, data managers, and other personnel to ensure all systems, reports, and processes are ready to support clinical trials.
This role analyzes, specifies, designs, documents, tests and delivers business systems and Information System process solutions to meet business requirements.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Manages and reports on GCO projects, priorities, and issues
- Deep understanding of applications used to support clinical trials
- Analyze business needs and proactively suggest improvements in process and systems.
- Identifies enhancements to existing technology to improve efficiency and quality for clinical operations.
- Works with customers to gather and document detailed requirements
- Creates test plans/scripts, performs system testing and coordinates user testing
- Ensures systems, integrations are established, tested, and available to support clinical trials
- Follows SDLC and System Change Management procedures to maintain system validation and work with Software Quality Assurance to ensure compliance.
- Works with IS and customers to identify, diagnose and solve both system and related business process issues
- Works closely with the development team to assure a timely solution according to the specifications and implementation of business needs.
- Creates and provides quality training material for user assistance and system usage.
- Interacts with peers, managers, and senior management to develop consensus supporting logistics, strategies and projects.
- Fosters a culture of compliance by operating within guidelines and procedures, leading by example, and focusing on risk assessment and elimination.
- Review, approve, and coordinate change requests (CR) as required.
- Maintain effective relationships with internal customers and other divisions as applicable.
- Manages systems development or process improvement projects by applying basic project management methodology.
- May lead multiple project activities simultaneously, working with internal and external cross-functional groups.
Required qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Clinical software (i.e., Siebel CTMS, Rave or other EDC applications)
- 1-3 years project management experience; strong leadership and communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience and knowledge of end to end Clinical Trial Operations for medical devices
- Understanding of clinical trial terminology
