About the Team
Virtus from FIS is a leading provider of alternative investment services and technology solutions, specializing in delivering comprehensive front, middle, and back-office services to asset managers, banks, and other institutional investors. Virtus helps its clients manage their alternative investment portfolios, including CLO/CDOs, private equity, hedge funds, and other alternative assets.
What You Will Be Doing
The Settlement Team handles primary and secondary market loan settlements, leveraging advanced technology to service broadly syndicated loans. As the Settlements Operations Supervisor, you will oversee the daily functions of the Trade Settlements Team and support senior leadership in delivering exceptional client service, while continuously enhancing operational workflows and procedures.
- Oversee daily client activity and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Manage client onboarding for customers, deals, and assets.
- Support financial processing and routine operations for clients and team.
- Troubleshoot system issues and ensure timely, accurate servicing.
- Help develop procedures to minimize risk and improve efficiency.
- Assist with loan closings and related operational tasks.
- Lead and contribute to client-focused projects and initiatives.
- Communicate assignment status and escalate trade issues as needed.
- Guide team in managing client relationships and resolving complex problems.
- Collaborate with management to deliver exceptional client service.
- May recruit, train, and evaluate staff to optimize team performance.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
- Typically, at least 3 years of financial services experience (preferably with institutional trusts) and at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Client servicing experience, basic knowledge of securities, and accustomed to high volume transaction processing.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, with proficiency in Excel, as well as a basic knowledge of how internal systems work.
- Understanding of broadly syndicated loans and trade fee calculations.
- Knowledge of transfer documentation, including purchase price letters, netting letters, funding memos, participation agreements, consent and elevation agreements, termination agreements and transfer certificates.
- Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, team building, negotiation, conflict management and time management skills.
- Ability to lead by example and motivate professional level staff.

- Exposure to both TSI and ClearPar systems.
- Experience with daily loan transactions and loan tracking systems.
