You will also be responsible for local regulatory financial reporting requirements.</p><p>You’ll work with a global team and will be exposed to senior management as you develop knowledge about key business issues and support new initiatives. Grow personally and professionally while building a network within the life sciences industry!</p><p>This position is based in Leipzig, Germany and will report to the Divisional Controller.</p><p></p><p><b>What You’ll Do</b></p><ul><li><p>Collaborate with other members of the Finance Team to prepare and deliver timely and accurate financial results, along with insightful analysis. This includes the preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and monthly intercompany tie outs, the oversight of any unusual transactions, as well as reporting provided to help senior management understand the underlying business drivers.</p></li><li><p>Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures in compliance with US GAAP and local GAAP (HGB).</p></li><li><p>Understand the balance sheet &amp; income statement impacts of every transaction to challenge or propose accounting adjustment entries, when relevant.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate all necessary supporting documentation for monthly accruals and prepayments as well as transacting them in the ERP.</p></li><li><p>Prepare Balance Sheet reviews and flux analyses.</p></li><li><p>Ensure the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations within the company deadlines and with proper supporting documentation.</p></li><li><p>Ensure performance of internal controls, including SOX compliance.</p></li><li><p>Ensure all internal p
