Carbon Robotics is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Field Supervisor to oversee the safe and efficient operation of autonomous tractors and laserweeders in our customers agricultural fields. This role ensures the highest safety standards, monitors weeding quality, and provides leadership to tractor operators when autonomy systems require manual intervention. What you'll do:
- Oversee the operation of autonomous tractors, ensuring they perform safely and efficiently.
- Identify and respond to potential safety issues or system malfunctions in real time.
- Conduct routine inspections of autonomous systems to ensure functionality and compliance with safety protocols.
- Monitor the performance of Laserweeders to ensure precise and effective weeding.
- Conduct quality checks in the field to assess Laserweeding accuracy and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with technical teams to optimize Laserweeder performance.
- Supervise tractor drivers when manual operation is required due to system failures or challenging conditions.
- Provide training and guidance to operators on safety protocols and best practices.
- Document and report on the performance of autonomous systems and laserweeders.
- Provide feedback to the engineering and operations teams to support continuous improvement.
- Track system uptime, weeding quality, and manual intervention incidents.
- Experience in agricultural operations or precision farming technology.
- Strong knowledge of autonomous systems and/or robotics in agriculture.
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a field operations setting.
- Attention to detail with the ability to identify and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Technical understanding of autonomous tractor systems or related machinery.
- Experience with data collection and analysis for performance tracking.

The compensation range outlined is based on a target budgeted base salary. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as relevant experience and skill, Interview assessments and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements. Offers are determined using our equitable hiring practices. Carbon Robotics offers additional compensation in the form of benefits premiums, pre-IPO stock options and On Target Earning commissions for appropriate positions. Base pay ranges are reviewed each year. We are committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for similar work.
