The Product Technical Support Engineer II for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for assisting with the initiation, design, development, and implementation of product improvements and changes and providing real time technical support to North America Operations field support and Call Center personnel.

This position is part of the Global Product Technical Support Team and is based ONSITE out of our facility in Brea, CA. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Respond to technical procedural inquiries and provide email support to international field team members.
- Trend, analyze, and interpret field-generated data, advising on problem resolution.
- Act as a liaison between the Field Service team and Development, and participate in project teams for new product development and improvements.
- Ensure accuracy and traceability of records to comply with GMP, ISO, FDA, and company policies, while maintaining all departmental and service support documents.
- Develop support strategies, provide feedback on product documentation, and maintain accurate training records within a learning management system (LMS).
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, medical diagnostic or related technical field, with 2+ years of related instrument experience; OR Master’s degree with 1+ years of same experience.
- 3+ years of troubleshooting hardware and software related issues with medical devices and their integration into IT lab systems, including diagnosing connectivity problems, software configuration issues, and hardware malfunctions.
- Demonstrated expertise troubleshooting middleware issues related to message processing, connectivity, and resource utilization.
- Ability to travel as the need arises, approximately 25% or less.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Demonstrated ability to communicate information to multi-functional audiences and management.
- Demonstrated technical experience, strong analytical skills, and good judgment to solve problems; analyses information and standard practices to make judgments
- Proficient computer skills and experience with relevant software programs (Oracle Business Intelligence, Windows, and Linux based applications).

The annual salary range for this role is $72,000-$85,000 per year. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
