What will you do?
- Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and air conditioning to specification
- Work on a wide variety of domestic and import vehicles, not just warranty repairs
- Perform work outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealer and manufacturer standards
- Complete full automotive troubleshooting and testing
- Propose creative, practical, and cost-effective solutions to problems and process improvements
- Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a clear, non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
- Provide labor and time estimates for additional repairs
- Ensure vehicles are repaired accurately and kept clean; road test vehicles to ensure quality repair the first time
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment
What skills do you bring to the role?
- ASE certification preferred with 2-5 years of experience required
- State and Emissions License preferred
- Strong work ethic: reliable and dependable
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding performance goals as an Automotive Technician/Mechanic
- Working knowledge of shop equipment including diagnostic tools, alignment systems, wheel and tire equipment, and A/C equipment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Team-oriented, flexible, and focused on delivering a high level of customer service
- Take pride in producing quality work the first time
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and stay up to date with rapidly changing automotive technology
- Ability to pass pre-employment testing to include a background check, drug test, and Motor
