Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation Rockville seeks to hire a Licensed Practical Nurse who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse you will:
• Record the patient’s history and update records in an accurate and confidential manner
• Give medication as prescribed and monitoring reactions and effectiveness of medication
• Take vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, oxygen saturation and weight
• Basic wound care including cleaning and bandaging injured areas, ensuring patients are healing properly and observing patient skin for breakdown
• Explain treatments and procedures to patients and families and is familiar with resolving patient /family concerns.
• Giving injections of medications
• Providing immunizations
• Entering information into computer systems
• Ensuring patients and families understand discharge instructions
• Providing oversight to Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
• Monitoring fluid/food intake and output
• Moving patients safely
• Observing patient mental health status
• Providing emotional support
• Assisting with daily needs such as bathing and dressing
• Able to perform and competent in: Foley care, IV Therapy based on training and hospital policy, Bladder scan, EKGs, and Blood draws
Qualifications include:
• Associate degree or Diploma in Nursing from an Accrediting School of Nursing.
• Valid Maryland LPN license required
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years’ experience
Work Schedule:
6:45-7-15 p
Pay Range:
$24.41 - $34.18If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
