The role, in a nutshell:

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to oversee the development and improvement of the platform underpinning Chainguard’s secure supply chain products. In this role, you will work alongside other PMs and cross-functional stakeholders to help lead, develop and manage the roadmap and vision. Your customers are other R&D teams at Chainguard, and you will develop a strong understanding of their needs and work with your platform engineering counterparts to define elegant solutions that increase the productivity of those teams and create leverage for Chainguard engineering overall.

You must be able to work through ambiguity to be able to get results. You will leverage your relationships with key internal stakeholders to create clarity and provide prioritized use cases for your engineering partners. 

What you’ll do:

• Develop and propose initiatives for either new platform services, or improvements to existing platform services, that will increase the overall agility of Chainguard engineering and optimize operational costs.
• Collaborate with engineering to define, implement, and maintain SLOs for platform services, ensuring alignment with business goals and user expectations.
• Create written documents that clearly define the problem, proposed and recommended solutions, quantitative and qualitative success measures & targets, cross-functional requirements, and ROI to the business.
• Be accountable for platform developer experience at Chainguard and the satisfaction of developers working with platform services.
• Develop innovative solutions to problems by collaborating as needed across regions, product areas, and functions.
• Own the strategy, roadmap and planning cycles for platform engineering.
• Drive execution against the roadmap.

What we're looking for:

• Technical experience is a must. Either prior experience as a developer, or proven success working with senior technical teams.
• Experience as an internal product manager, platform product manager, platform engineering manager, or other equivalent technical experience.
• Ability to navigate complex decision-making and effectively communicate across teams.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently with cross-functional teams and leaders.
