Join the Field Performance & Incentives team at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management, where client-centricity and advisor success are at the heart of our strategy. Our team is responsible for the comprehensive design, oversight, and continuous improvement of advisor compensation and incentive programs—key drivers of advisor behavior, business growth, and client outcomes. 

As a Vice President, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering programs that attract, motivate, and retain top talent, while fostering collaboration and career progression across our advisor community.  You will collaborate with cross-functional partners and leverage advanced communication skills to coordinate efforts that contribute to the strategic objectives of J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Strategic Program Execution:  Lead the implementation of advisor compensation programs—including Advisor Teams, Cross-Channel Partnerships, Retirement, and career progression—in partnership with Business Leaders and key partners from Legal, Compliance, and HR.
  • Program Enhancement:  Identify, recommend, and implement enhancements to practice management programs that strengthen our ability to attract, motivate, and retain advisors.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:  Work closely with field managers and business partners to socialize program changes and ensure effective adoption across all stakeholders.
  • Change Management:  Lead and support change management efforts related to advisor compensation and incentive programs, ensuring smooth transitions, clear communication, and stakeholder alignment throughout program updates and rollouts.
  • Communication and Reporting:  Prepare and present clear, concise reports, summaries, and recommendations to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
  • Lead and Develop Talent:  Mentor and inspire others by fostering a culture of curiosity, accountability, and high performance.  Provide ongoing coaching and professional development to peers, ensuring consistent, high-quality service.
  • Industry & Trend Analysis:  Monitor and assess incentive trends and advisor programs across the wealth management industry, ensuring our compensation practices are competitive, compliant, and thoughtfully applied.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in financial services, with a background in Finance, Compensation, and/or Human Resources.
  • Exceptional organizational skills; able to balance multiple priorities with varying urgency and importance, and approach situations with a risk and controls mindset.
  • Strong client focus, with the ability to work directly with field managers and advisors to arrange, organize, and troubleshoot solutions for key programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop others, with a focus on service excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Intellectual curiosity and honesty; seeks out facts and strives to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Analytical and logical thinker, capable of understanding and analyzing complex business processes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to deliver concise, impactful storytelling that integrates quantitative data with qualitative insights.
  • Intermediate-to-advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; ability to quickly learn new systems and workflows.
  • Strong sense of accountability and demonstrated history of end-to-end ownership.
  • Discretion and sound judgment when handling highly confidential information, with a deep respect for the impact of compensation decisions on advisors’ lives and practices.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Strong understanding of Wealth Management products and services, as well as fundamental business drivers
