The opportunity
Managing global workforces is increasingly complex. People Advisory Services (PAS) supports organizations and individuals in enhancing performance in an evolving global environment. As a member of PAS, you will be part of a collaborative team and gain valuable exposure to cross-border engagements and diverse client needs.
Our PAS Mobility practice helps clients manage the cost and risks associated with global workforce mobility. As a Staff, you will support tax compliance and advisory services for globally mobile employees, working with experienced team members to deliver high-quality service to clients.
Your key responsibilities
With the Mobility Tax team, you’ll join a talented group of professionals that provide individual tax planning, compliance services and advice on tax implications related to the mobility of employees as well as corporate and employment tax planning. Our key capabilities include: Mobility Tax Compliance, Income Tax Advisory & calculations, Cross-Border Share based incentive schemes & expatriate compensation and Global and Local Employment Tax Compliance & Advisory.
Skills and attributes for success
You will work as part of a team delivering mobility tax services, including compliance and advisory support; working with colleagues all over the globe, preparing tax returns, writing correspondence, providing advice/guidance, and prepare tax cost estimates. Directly engaging our clients is vital, be ready to question and negotiate to provide results.
To qualify for the role you must have
- A bachelor's degree in related field
- 1 –2 years of relevant experience (expatriate tax, public accounting, or related preferred)
- If eligible, US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or active state bar membership or active progress toward certification. If not yet eligible, either Enrolled Agent status or willingness to become an EA.
- Native level Japanese language skills (speaking and writing)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of US tax concepts or willingness to learn
- An understanding of automated tax-processing systems, as well as tax laws
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other basic tools
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Exposure to US and international stakeholders

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $65,900 to $108,600. The base salary range for New York City
