Overview
The Security Team is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for visitors and True employees. Their duty is to protect and ensure all buildings, grounds and parking lots are safe and secure; they are also responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the policies of True Manufacturing.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Monitor the front desk while greeting and signing all guests in and out, including visitors, vendors, contractors, etc., and making the proper notifications.
- Create and issue guest, temporary, and contractor badges as needed.
- Answer team members’ questions regarding the department’s services or security policy and provide prompt follow up with the team member if the answer is not immediately known.
- Monitor day to day alarm activities, including securing buildings and responding to alarm calls.
- Assist any and all team members in a time of need to the best of their ability.
- Work closely with office management to identify and resolve any security issues or concerns.
- Monitor and review video from the surveillance cameras.
- Provide team members with basic vehicle assistance such as jump starts, flat tire change, deicing locks, etc.
- Foot and vehicle patrols of the facility and grounds.
- Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information.
- Regular and reliable attendance in the office is required.
- This position requires work to be performed on-site at our corporate office and does not provide for working from home offices.
- The Security Officer position is an office-based role. Regular, predictable on-site attendance is required.
- Perform core job responsibilities through regular in-person collaboration, including participation in meetings, team discussions, and cross-functional coordination.
- Collaborate with fellow team members and leadership in a shared work environment to support innovation and timely decision-making, problem-solving, and operational effectiveness.
- Maintain a consistent on-site presence to support and respond to day-to-day business needs, including attendance of scheduled meetings and real-time collaboration as needed to ensure alignment of department and company priorities.
- Meet regularly with manager in-person to align on workload, priorities, performance, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Six or more months of related experience required.
- Prior security and/or military experience a strong plus but not required.
- This position will require a security license through St. Charles County and St. Louis County, which the company will pay for.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Report.
- Must be at least 21 years of age, due to St. Charles and St. Louis county licensing purposes.
- Customer service driven and focused.
- Must be able to work with confidential and sensitive information.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Must be able to multitask and handle emergency situations alone.
- Previous experience with alarm systems and closed-circuit TV is a positive, but not required.
- Must be available for overtime on short notice. This can include weekends and holidays.
- Candidate will be First Aid, CPR and AED trained and willing to perform First Aid when needed.
The hours for this position are 6:30pm - 7:00am, Friday - Sunday.
