Role Description: 

The Vice President Operations will have ownership and accountability of all traditional and clinical operations across all Flagship Health markets.  The role of the Vice President provides the opportunity to make transformational change in the delivery of primary care to seniors and veterans, significant personal career growth opportunities, and the ability to share/learn with and from an experienced close-knit leadership team.

  

The Vice President of Operations fills a key executive role.  He / She They will work to define, align, and influence business strategy and drivers to effectively address the current and future needs of the organization. The VP Operations will work closely with practice managers across markets to formulate business strategies and operational plans for successful market growth and positioning and will ensure financial, operational, and quality goals are met or exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight & Leadership :

  • Lead a cross functional team in building and operating Flagship primary care centers across markets
  • Ensure effective daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, patient flow, and resource allocation.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance evaluations for practice managers and all clinical staff.
  • Manage operational dashboard development and maintenance.
  • Develop and standardize operational policies and procedures across practices.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, standards, and accreditation requirements.
  • Oversee acquired clinic and staff integration
  • Identify opportunities for growth and service improvement.   Represent operations on executive leadership team and ensure operations and growth alignment

Patient Care Excellence:

  • Ensure practices meet patient satisfaction, access, and quality benchmarks.
  • Lead initiatives to improve the patient experience and streamline care delivery.
  • Address and resolve patient concerns or operational challenges effectively.
  • Develop and oversee referral partner strategy (specialist referrals and social services)
  • Guide all clinical operations to align membership under value-based insurance programs.

Financial Management:

  • Oversee billing and revenue cycle management
  • Oversee supply chain and vendor management
  • Help develop budgets and monitor financials for each clinic and market
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality care standards.

Technology and Innovation:

  • Manage clinical innovation implementation
  • Oversee technology strategy and vendor management
  • Implement and oversee the use of electronic health records (EHR) and other health IT systems.
  • Stay updated on healthcare technology trends and recommend tools to enhance operations.

Key Performance Metrics:

  • Achievement of financial, quality and membership goals.
  • Patient satisfaction scores.
  • Employee engagement and retention.

Candidate Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field
  • Master’s degree preferred.


Experience:

  • 7+ years of leadership experience in healthcare operations, with at least 3+ years in an executive leadership role.
  • Proven success managing multiple ambulatory healthcare facilities or practices.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare delivery operations and industry trends

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, regulations, and financial management.
