The main function of this position is to lead studies in the Mach Lab on molecular markers of oxidative stress. This
includes designing and performing a wide variety of assays as well as training and supervising lab members in these
assays. Other responsibilities include analyzing and reporting results, and manuscript preparation

Job Responsibilities

  This leadership role oversees and designs advanced experiments by assisting the principal investigator in the advancement of our neuroscience program as related to neurodegeneration and oxidative stress. Play a crucial role in all aspects of these research products including development, implementation, and data analysis. Assess proposed projects by conducting feasibility studies to provide valuable input regarding viability, efficiency, timeline, and study design. In the implementation stage, this role will supervise and perform the project. This includes overseeing workflow and productivity of lab personnel and providing training to them on specific techniques as necessary. Responsible for data analysis, preparation of manuscripts, and presenting research findings through various forums.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Philosophy, and 5 to 7 years of postdoctoral experience is required.

This position is contingent upon grant funding.
