S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI) is seeking a Change Management Lead to build and deliver change management capability across the organization. This role partners with leaders and project teams across functions (e.g., Product, Operations, Technology, Data, Commercial, Finance, Risk/Legal/Compliance, HR) to increase adoption, readiness, and sustained outcomes for a portfolio of initiatives.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to initiative owners and sponsors, providing practical change leadership across stakeholder engagement, change strategy, communications, training, and continuous improvement. This role is designed for someone who can operate in a dynamic environment, manage multiple workstreams concurrently, and influence effectively at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Change Leadership
- Provide on-demand change management leadership for S&P DJI initiatives, tailoring level of rigor (lightweight to comprehensive) based on scope, risk, and impact.
- Establish fit-for-purpose change plans that align with project delivery approaches (Agile, hybrid, waterfall) and integrate with process improvement efforts.
- Act as a strategic partner to initiative sponsors and project leads to clarify outcomes, adoption goals, change risks, and success measures.
Stakeholder Engagement & Sponsorship
- Identify and map stakeholder groups; assess change impact, readiness, and likely resistance points; develop targeted engagement approaches.
- Coach sponsors and people leaders on effective sponsorship routines (visibility, messaging, role-modeling, reinforcement).
- Create meaningful feedback mechanisms (listening sessions, surveys, office hours, retrospectives) and translate insights into action.
Communications & Change Narrative
- Develop and execute communication strategies and messaging that connect “why change,” “what’s changing,” “what’s expected,” and “what support is available.”
- Produce and manage communications artifacts (stakeholder briefs, FAQs, release notes, leadership talking points, intranet updates) with consistent cadence and audience segmentation.
- Ensure communications are inclusive, clear, and actionable across global audiences and roles.
Training, Enablement & Adoption
- Partner with SMEs, product owners, and learning partners to shape role-based training and enablement plans.
- Oversee training content quality, relevance, and timing; confirm alignment to stakeholder needs and operational readiness.
- Support adoption through job aids, playbooks, process walkthroughs, train-the-trainer, and reinforcement plans for managers and teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Delivery Integration
- Work closely with project/program managers, process owners, and technology teams to integrate change activities into overall plans (cutovers, releases, go-lives, hypercare where applicable).
- Facilitate cross-team alignment on roles/responsibilities, decision points, dependency management, and readiness criteria.
- Help teams prioritize and manage multiple initiatives and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Change Standards, Tools & Continuous Improvement
- Build and maintain an enterprise change management toolkit (templates, playbooks, checklists, standard deliverables, impact assessment approach).
- Define and track change outcomes and adoption metrics (readiness, engagement, completion, usage, sentiment) and recommend corrective actions.
- Continuously improve change practices by capturing lessons learned, standardizing what works, and scaling repeatable approaches across S&P DJI.
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience leading or delivering change management for cross-functional initiatives in a complex organization, with demonstrated ability to influence without authority.
- Experience partnering with project/program teams and business leaders to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
- Strong capabilities in stakeholder management, facilitation, communications planning, training/enablement planning, and resistance management.
- Proven consultative approach with strong relationship-building, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort operating in environments using Agile or iterative delivery models.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent practical experience).
