Terran Orbital is seeking a Security Engineer and Analyst to join its team in Melbourne, FL. In this role, the Change and Configuration Management Engineer will play a key role in ensuring all IT change activities and projects follow Terran Orbital policy and adhere to change-related compliance requirements. Ensures baseline configuration and inventories of organizational systems are documented and maintained. This role will coordinate, communicate and lead change-related activities, including establishing the Terran Orbital Change Control Board. Provide subject matter advice and guidance on change and configuration management best practice methods, standards, and requirements to the Terran Orbital IT team and leadership.

Requirements
- Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of Terran Orbital Information Systems
- Identify and define system security requirements
- Support Terran Orbital System Security Plan and prepare standard operating procedures
- Perform Risk Assessments for new and existing Information Systems
- Troubleshoot security relevant issues or incidents across full environment
- Review audit events for information systems and address events/incidents
- Identify and remediate vulnerabilities across full environment
- Escalate and report threats, vulnerabilities and incidents rapidly
- Analyze and recommend security controls and procedures in acquisition, development, and change management lifecycle of information systems
- Ensures all information system security-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals
- Participate in internal / external security audits / inspections
- Utilize existing cloud and on-prem security tools and recommend improvements
- Supports Terran Orbital IT system administrators and leadership on security matters
- Collaborating and coordinating with other teams to establish security protocols across the organization
- Daily/Weekly administrative tasks, reporting, and communication with the relevant departments in the organization
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Experience with NIST Cybersecurity Framework
- Thorough understanding of NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, CMMC L3, and the ITAR/EAR
- Experience with government accreditation requirements
- Experience in evaluating, testing, certification and accreditation of classified or controlled unclassified information
- Experience in Cloud Technologies for Security and Compliance (Azure and AWS)
- Experience with Security Best Practices with SaaS, IaaS and PaaS
- Experience with IDS/IPS, Enterprise Malware and other Cloud/OnPrem security technologies
- Experience with analysis and evaluation of hardware and software
- Able to apply current computer security technologies and IA requirements to maintain system security posture
- Responsible for maintaining and enforcing approved security policies, standards and guidelines
- Experience working directly with project developers and/or subject matter experts to create security documentation
- Proficient with MS Word, PowerPoint and working knowledge of various software tools
- Experience formatting, editing, proofreading, and quality assurance checks on documents
- Experience in identifying compliance issues, documentation, and incident reporting
- DoD 8570 compliant IAM Level I certification, such as the CompTIA Security+ certification. A higher-level certification, such as GSLC, CAP, CASP, CISM and/or CISSP will also be accepted
- Ability to obtain up to Top Secret/SCI clearance
ADDITIONAL DIFFERENTIATORS:
- U.S. government issued security clearance at the Secret or Top Secret/SCI levels
