Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Nurse Practitioner for Cardiology who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
As a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner, you will:
• Perform initial patient screenings and develop treatment plans for acute and chronic diseases
• Educate and guide patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle habits
• Assists medical providers in development, implementation and periodic review of health care policies, protocols, and procedures
• Obtain patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination
• Ensure the confidentiality of all patients', company and other relevant information under HIPPA guidelines.
• Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness and injury.
• Explain procedures and discuss test results and prescribed treatments with patients
Qualifications include:
• Master's degree or Doctorate degree in Nursing
• Licensed as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland
• National Board Certification
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Active American Heart Association Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
• Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner preferred
• Eligible for Maryland Controlled Dangerous Substance license
• DEA license is not required but preferred
• Cardiovascular Experience highly preferred
Work Schedule:
10-hour day shift
No on call
No Holidays
This is a per diem position with a rate of $73/hour.
Pay Range:
If the salary range is not displayed or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
