Tanaq Government Services (TGS) delivers professional, scientific, and technical services and information technology (IT) solutions to federal agencies in health, technology, and other government services. About the Role
We seek a Material Handling Laborer to perform physical tasks to transport or store materials or merchandise. Duties involve manually unloading delivery trucks, unpacking, shelving, and/or placing items in proper storage locations. May transport goods by hand, trucks, appliance dolly, or pallet jacks.
Responsibilities
- Pack items for storage, distribution, or disposal.
- Compile inventory stock records of items in the warehouse.
- Verify receipts of items on requisition or invoice.
- Assist other warehouse personnel in moving, transporting, and relocating materials to the job site.
- Comply with warehouse safety requirements.
Requirements
Required Experience and Skills
- 5 years experience in moving and storage of furniture, case goods
- An understanding of stock management terminology
- Experience with Hayworth systems furniture assembly / disassembly desirable but not mandatory
- Knowledge and use of Excel, Word software
- Speak, read, write English fluently
- Able to obtain military base access credentials
- Valid State of Florida driver's license
- US citizen
Education and Training
- High School diploma or GED

- Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping. crouching, and arm movement. Frequently lifts and carries items weighing at least 50 pounds.
- Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows, knees, and reach above/ below shoulder.
