About the Role

We seek a Material Handling Laborer to perform physical tasks to transport or store materials or merchandise. Duties involve manually unloading delivery trucks, unpacking, shelving, and/or placing items in proper storage locations. May transport goods by hand, trucks, appliance dolly, or pallet jacks. 

Responsibilities

• Pack items for storage, distribution, or disposal.
• Compile inventory stock records of items in the warehouse.
• Verify receipts of items on requisition or invoice.
• Assist other warehouse personnel in moving, transporting, and relocating materials to the job site.
• Comply with warehouse safety requirements.

Requirements

Required Experience and Skills

• 5 years experience in moving and storage of furniture, case goods
• An understanding of stock management terminology
• Experience with Hayworth systems furniture assembly / disassembly desirable but not mandatory
• Knowledge and use of Excel, Word software
• Speak, read, write English fluently
• Able to obtain military base access credentials
• Valid State of Florida driver's license
• US citizen

Education and Training

• High School diploma or GED

• Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping. crouching, and arm movement. Frequently lifts and carries items weighing at least 50 pounds.
• Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows, knees, and reach above/ below shoulder.
