Assistant Scientist - Study Management, Participant Portal

*This is a hybrid role which requires 3 days a week in office
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in developing participant outreach/recruitment tactics/communications
- Provide user management support by assisting participants via email/phone with portal registration/account access
- Assist with generating engaging participant facing portal site content to improve participant experience
- Assist in building and testing surveys in online survey platform
- Assist with identifying and documenting enhancements to the portal site, study manager tools, and data organization
- Support all cohort projects that are conducted through the portal including sub-studies
- Work in a team environment to explore ways to improve participant engagement and retention
- Assist SBMG staff with various activities surrounding CPS-3 surveys, newsletters, and other miscellaneous projects by providing critical support in data clean-up and quality control processes
- Assist SBMG staff with mortality linkage review to determine if death match is the correct study participant
- Maintain and/or establish current user documentation of all administrative activities, including email templates used to respond to participant inquiries
FORMAL KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and ability to work with diverse populations required
- Experience with personal computers, including familiarity with word processing and spreadsheets, required
- Experience with database management, required
- Experience with survey building and data collection, preferred
- Web design experience, preferred
- Ability to handle multiple projects and respond to changing circumstances and priorities in a focused and timely manner
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Work experience within a research environment where data collection systems and protocols have been standardized, very helpful
- Eager to problem solve both independently and as a valued member of a dynamic team
SPECIALIZED TRAINING OR KNOWLEDGE
- Strong understanding of Web Portals and web site design
- Epidemiology or public health knowledge through education or work experiences
