Summary

We are looking for a talented Principal Architect to join our team and help shape the future of Midnight’s products and technology. Midnight is a regulatory-friendly data protection-based blockchain that safeguards sensitive commercial and personal data, protecting fundamental freedoms of association, commerce, and expression for developers, companies, and individuals.

As a Principal Architect at Midnight, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture of our solutions, overseeing the development of scalable and secure solutions, and providing technical leadership to a team of architects. Duties

Develop and communicate a clear architectural vision for Midnight, aligning technology strategies with business goals.
Lead the design and development of blockchain-based systems, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and secure.
Make informed decisions about technology choices, frameworks, and tools that support blockchain development.
Manage a team of skilled architects, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a culture of excellence.
Ensure that security measures, protocols, and compliance standards are embedded within the architecture to safeguard our systems and data.
Collaborate with vendors, partners, and stakeholders to create prototypes and conduct feasibility studies, evaluating their potential impact and feasibility.
Oversee the seamless integration of blockchain technology with existing systems, identifying opportunities for enhancement and optimization.
Create detailed architecture documents, guidelines, and best practices for development teams to follow.

Requirements

Key Competencies

Proven experience in architecting blockchain solutions and in-depth knowledge of blockchain technologies.
Strong leadership and team management abilities, including the capacity to mentor and inspire technical teams.
Proficiency in designing and building robust, scalable, and secure systems architecture.
A deep understanding of security principles and blockchain security best practices.
Demonstrated ability to introduce innovative solutions and adapt to evolving technologies.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Education / Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as an Architect or Senior Software Engineer in blockchain technology.
Proven success in designing and implementing blockchain systems.
Experience in security and compliance within the blockchain domain.
Experience working in agile development environments and applying agile methodologies to blockchain projects.

Benefits

IOG is a fully distributed organization but due to team distribution, we require someone to be based in the United States, preferably on the East Coast or Central.

The base salary for this position has a range of $205 up to $235k per year at the commencement of employment. Any offer is determined by overall experience and performance during the interview process. This is only part of the total compensation package.
