These strategic developments plus the ever changing accounting landscape make working as an Investment Accounting Medior at Athora a lot of fun plus will give many opportunities for personal and professional growth as you will be at the center of the investment accounting side.</p> <p><br/></p> <p><strong>About Investment Accounting</strong></p> <p>The Investment Accounting department is responsible for the administration of the assets for the various reporting requirements, under the applicable accounting principles (IFRS, Solvency II, shareholder reporting and Tax). Important part of this is the analysis and substantiation of the investment results and balance movements and generating the required investment reports for our internal and external reporting. </p> <p><br/></p> <p><strong>As our Investment Accounting colleague, you will be responsible for:</strong></p> <ul><li>Applying your investment Accounting knowledge to help prepare IFRS, Solvency II and Tax administration of our investments</li><li>Playing a key role in Investment Accounting analytics and reporting</li><li>Acting as sparring partner regarding accounting and reporting setup of new non-standard investments within the investment chain</li><li>Stakeholder management (e.g. internal clients and our external accountant)</li></ul> <p><br/></p><br/> <p><br/></p> <h3>Requirements</h3> <p><em>Functional or technical Knowledge and skills required:</em></p> <ul><li>BSc/MSc degree with finance/economics/mathematics background </li><li>Accounting professional with at least 3-5 years of experience in investment accounting/reporting at a financial services company </li><li>Knowledge of Solvency II and experience with database and management information systems is an advantage</li></ul> <p><br/></p> <p><em>Personal capabilities required:</em></p> <ul><li>Team player who collaborates easily and effectively with internal stakeholders, involving technical experts</li><li>Strong logical, analytical and problem solving abilities</li><li>Excellent communication skills.
